The scapula are offset to give drama to the back as if the form is exerting its left shoulder and twisting the spine with muscular power. The granite was sculpted so the male form would synergize with the colored bands of mineral in the stone.
The work is mounted to a complementary shaped block of walnut on a stainless steel shaft. This arrangement allows the work to be rotated to change the viewing orientation. NFS
